Cliff Martinez - Solaris (Score)

I never bothered to see the movie, which seemed to be part of Soderbergh's downturn, but anywho... this is a gorgeous, solid work, really haunting and very reminiscent of Steve Reich. Whereas Reich tests my patience at times, this album is full of amazing tonal and timbre shifts. Very little of it involves a string section... check it out. Good nighttime stuff.
