Doves - The Last Broadcast

This is the second of their 3 albums, and in my opinion, the best and most consistent throughout. The newer album, "Some Cities", has some stand-out tracks, like "Almost Forgot Myself" and "Someday Soon", but on the whole it doesn't deliver. Anyway, the production on the "The Last Broadcast" is sprawling and epic, and somehow at the same time rough-around-the-edges and raw. It is good rock, good songwriting, and great production. Good for the car.
